National Hand washing Awareness

 Henry the Hand Flier

The hands are the parts of the human body that are in most contact with the outside world. People use their hands for a variety of activities everyday. It is extremely easy to come in contact with different microbes and to transfer them to other objects and maybe even people.

Surprisingly, fingernails harbor the most bacteria found on the human hands.

It has been observed that the hands and fingernails are prone to accumulate many different types of bacterial and fungal pathogens. The hands and fingernails are susceptible to different conditions due to the constantly changing environment of the host and of its surroundings. Currently, there is an increasing awareness of hand and fingernail healthcare as healthier fingernails can promote healthier lifestyles.
